Meridian police seek public's help identifying witnesses, suspects in Saturday shooting incident

Meridian Police are asking for the public's help in identifying potential witnesses or the suspect(s) in a shooting that occurred on Friday, Oct. 20.

According to Meridian Police, the shooting occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Friday at a residence in the 600 block of East Gannett Drive.

Meridian Police say they received a call of multiple gunshot victims at the residence. When they arrived, they found one gunshot victim in the home who was transported to the hospital by paramedics. They also learned of a second victim transported to the hospital by family members. Both victims were treated and released.

Police say they believe there was a gathering at the home when an altercation occurred between a few attendees that led to the shooting.

According to police, most attendees, including the suspects, left the scene before police arrived.
